FP&A Manager | Market Leading AI Scale-up | London/hybrid

They take pride in being a global industry benchmark for software development, supporting clients ranging from large corporations with over 1,000 developers to small startups in various industries, including financial services, health technology, retail, advanced engineering, and technology.
The role:
As the FP&A Manager you will play a key role in driving the company’s financial strategy by leading the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes. You will provide high-level financial analysis and data driven insights to guide business decisions, while also partnering with cross functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Though focused on hands-on financial work, 20-30% of your time will involve managing and mentoring the junior members of the FP&A team, offering guidance and overseeing their development.

Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning to support business growth.
- Focus on high-level financial analysis, providing data-driven insights to guide key business decisions, working closely with senior leadership.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting processes, delivering insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track the company’s performance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, marketing, operations) to provide financial support and deliver actionable recommendations that align with business objectives.
- Manage and mentor 1-3 junior members of the FP&A team, providing guidance, reviewing their work, and supporting their professional development.
- Develop complex financial models for scenario planning, cash flow forecasting, and profitability analysis to assess potential business outcomes
- Engage with the leadership team to provide input on strategic initiatives, offering financial perspectives on new projects, investments, and opportunities.
- Apply deep understanding of SaaS business models, working on churn analysis, customer lifetime value (CLTV), and other relevant metrics to optimize performance.
- Identify and implement improvements in FP&A processes and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of financial insights and recommendations.
What we need to see (essential experience):
- 5+ years’ experience working within FP&A / Commercial
- Previous mentoring or management experience
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen
- Strong Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communicator
What we would like to see (Bonus experience):
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience working in a Scale-up
- Experience working in a SaaS, eCommerce or recurring revenue business
- Experience with BI Software (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
Salary: £70,000 - £85,000
Location: Holborn (3-4 days in office)
